The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs were established in 1935.

Founded in 1935, the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs quickly made their mark by winning their first Premiership in 1938. Over the decades, the club has been known for its resilience and strong performances, securing multiple Premierships, especially during the 1980s. The team has undergone several emblem and name changes, adopting the 'Bulldogs' moniker in 1978 to reflect their tenacity and fighting spirit. In 2025, the club celebrates its 90th anniversary, unveiling a commemorative logo that pays homage to its rich history. 

The Bulldogs' home ground is Belmore Sports Ground, located in Belmore, a suburb in the Canterbury-Bankstown region of Sydney, New South Wales.

Belmore Sports Ground has a seating capacity of approximately 19,000 spectators.

The 'Bulldogs' name and mascot were adopted in 1978 to symbolise the club's determination and tenacity. The team's colours are blue and white, which have been a constant throughout their history, reflecting their traditional identity.

In 2004, the club celebrated its 70th anniversary by securing the Premiership, marking a significant milestone in its history.
