The 1982 NSWRFL Grand Final was a key moment in Australian rugby league, featuring a
 clash between the Parramatta Eels and the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles. Played on
 September 26, 1982, at the Sydney Cricket Ground, the match drew 57,935 fans.
 Parramatta claimed their second straight premiership with a commanding 21–8 win over
 Manly. This Grand Final was particularly significant as it was the first to be played under the title of the Winfield Cup, marking the start of sponsorship by the Winfield tobacco
