The team's mascot, "Victor the Viking," embodies the club's association with Viking imagery, symbolising strength and resilience. The lime green colour was chosen to distinguish the Raiders from other teams, while the blue and gold accents represent the traditional sporting colours of the Australian Capital Territory.
- The Raiders were the first non-Sydney team to win the NSWRL Premiership, achieving this feat in 1989.
- Club legend Mal Meninga captained the team to all three of their Premiership victories and returned to the club in 2024 in a significant off-field role to help end their 30-year Premiership drought.
- The club is known for its passionate fan base and the "Viking Clap," a pre-game ritual that energises both players and supporters.
