The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles were granted entry into the NSWRL competition on November 4, 1946, and played their inaugural match on April 12, 1947, against the Western Suburbs Magpies at Brookvale Oval. Over the decades, the Sea Eagles have established themselves as one of the most successful clubs in Australian rugby league, known for their strong performances and fierce rivalries. In 1999, they entered a joint venture with the North Sydney Bears to form the Northern Eagles, but this partnership dissolved in 2002, leading to Manly's return as a standalone entity in 2003. The club has a rich history of success, with eight Premiership titles to their name.
The Sea Eagles' home ground is 4 Pines Park, located on Pittwater Road in Brookvale, New South Wales.
4 Pines Park has a seating capacity of approximately 23,000 spectators.
You can purchase official Manly Warringah Sea Eagles merchandise at Peter Wynn's Score, both online and in-store, including jerseys, training gear, and official Manly accessories.
The team's mascot, the Sea Eagle, reflects the club's coastal origins and symbolises strength and majesty. The maroon and white colours were adopted from the local Freshwater Surf Life Saving Club, representing the club's connection to the Northern Beaches community.
- In 2008, the Sea Eagles achieved a record-breaking 40–0 victory over the Melbourne Storm in the grand final, marking the largest winning margin in NRL grand final history.
- The club has produced numerous rugby league legends, including Bob Fulton, who was named as one of the four original Immortals of the sport.
