It's noteworthy that the club won the 2007 and 2009 grand finals, but these titles were later stripped due to salary cap breaches
The Melbourne Storm was formed in 1997 during the Super League war and became the first fully professional rugby league team based in Victoria. They entered the NRL in 1998 and quickly made an impact by winning their first premiership in 1999. Under the coaching of Craig Bellamy, who took over in 2003, the Storm has been a dominant force in the NRL, known for their consistent performances and strong club culture. Despite facing challenges, including the stripping of two premierships due to salary cap breaches, the club has maintained a high level of success, securing additional premierships in 2012, 2017, and 2020.
The Storm's home ground is AAMI Park, located at Olympic Boulevard, Melbourne, Victoria.
AAMI Park has a seating capacity of approximately 30,050 spectators.
